Hi, I’m Hanna
Before starting therapy, you may be wondering whether healing is truly possible. You might feel stuck, discouraged, or unsure if things can change. With the right support, healing is possible.
I am a Registered Social Worker (BCASW #14141) with a Master of Social Work (Clinical Specialization) from the University of British Columbia. It is a privilege to do this work and to walk alongside clients as they move toward greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding.
I specialize in counselling youth (12–19), their families, and adults experiencing eating disorders, anxiety, OCD, and trauma.
Seeing clients reconnect with themselves, recognize their worth, and build fulfilling lives is what continues to inspire and ground my practice.
Training and Experience
Experience:
Coastal Healing Counselling was created to offer a warm, safe, and compassionate space where youth and adults can explore their experiences and gain insight that meaningfully enhances their lives.
I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work. I understand what it feels like to struggle with anxiety, depression, and disconnection from oneself. Through my own therapeutic journey, I have experienced the profound value of building a deeper, more compassionate relationship with my thoughts and emotions.
For over 10 years, I have worked in clinical and community settings supporting youth, families, and adults. My work is rooted in evidence-based practice, relational safety, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story.
Education:
Bachelor of Arts, honours, Psychology- Carleton University
Master of Social Work (MSW), clinical specialization- UBC, Okanagan
Specialized Training:
I consistently engage in professional development to ensure the highest level of care is provided. I am committed to delivering exceptional therapy and staying current with best practices and evidence-based therapies.

Therapist & Social Worker
Choosing therapy is both vulnerable and deeply brave. My role is to create a grounded, compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment, pressure, or the need to hide parts of yourself.
My approach is trauma-informed and strengths-based, honoring both your lived experiences and your inherent resilience. If you have a broader care team, I value collaboration and will work alongside them to support comprehensive, aligned care.
Counselling can be a powerful process of self-discovery and change. Together, we will build insight, strengthen your inner resources, and take meaningful steps toward a life that feels aligned and whole.
At the core of my work is a belief in:
The possibility of healing
Your capacity for growth
The importance of connection and community
The restorative power of nature
Your ability to shape a life that feels deeply meaningful
All parts of you are welcome here.
Even the parts you feel you have to hide.
All parts of you are trying their best.
All parts of you deserve understanding.
Even the parts you feel you have to hide. All parts of you are trying their best. All parts of you deserve understanding.
When I’m not working, I love walking my dog, surfing, hiking, playing volleyball, and eating food with friends.
I am a cisgender white settler descendant living and working on the unceded traditional territory of the W̱SÁNEĆ, Lewkwungen, Songhees, and Esquimalt peoples. It is an incredible privilege to call these lands my home, and to live, work, and play on them.
